What it won't do
What the app won't do is a feature.
Float Plan will not file with the Coast Guard. It creates a document for your personal shore contact. Filing with the Coast Guard is a separate process, and we document the difference in the app.
It will not send the plan for you. You choose who gets it and how.
It will not remind you to file one. That habit is yours to build.
A float plan is only as useful as the shore contact who holds it. Choose someone who will act on it — and tell them what to do if you're overdue.
