Rainbow's End Marine
Logbook
Every watch, every passage, written down.
A proper ship's log that lives on your device and never needs a signal. Position, course, speed, weather, remarks — the record of where you've been and what you found there.
Why it stands out
Different by design. Honest by doctrine.
A proper log, not a tracker.
Logbook is a record you write, not a GPS trace the app generates. Each entry is a watch — position, course, speed, weather, and remarks in your own words.
Entirely offline.
Every entry is stored on your device. You can log a watch in the middle of the ocean with no signal, no account, and no subscription.
Multiple vessel profiles.
Keep a separate log for your own boat, a charter, and the dinghy. Switch between them without losing any entries.
Export when you're ready.
Export your log as CSV or plain text to archive it, share it with crew, or print it at the end of the passage.
What it does
Built for the questions you actually ask at sea.
Watch-by-watch entries.
Date and time, position (GPS or manual), course, speed, wind, sea state, barometer, and a remarks field. Add or skip any field.
Passage summary.
Distance made good, elapsed time, and a summary of conditions across the passage — drawn from the entries you've made.
GPS position capture.
Tap to capture your current GPS position into the entry, or enter it manually if you prefer.
Archive and share.
Export as CSV or plain text. Print it, email it to crew, or archive it however you keep records.
What it won't do
What the app won't do is a feature.
Logbook will not generate entries automatically. The log is what you write — not a GPS trace.
It will not sync in real time with other devices. Export and share the file.
It will not submit your log to any authority. It is a private record for your use.
A logbook is only as good as the entries in it. Log every watch. Note the weather. Write down what you saw. The record is for you — and for whoever sails with you next.
